Edge 1100 HD has a ultra flat field of view
Gathering 21% more light than the LX200 10",
89% more light than the 8" GPS 800, and weights 23 lbs. more.
The scope is f/10, on Feb. 18, 2022 added the .7x Reducer lense.
Brightology remote controlled red solar lights provide the lighting.

GPS 800 configured for Solar imaging as the primary scope for the ZWO ASI1600GT Pro camera. The Baader filter filters the Sun as bright white.
Solar imaging is a different ball game, everything gets hot. Plus, it can cause serious eye injury. The camera still has to be cooled for a good images.
The Sun can be tracked quite easily once everything gets aligned. Usually only declination tweaks are needed.
Standard exposure with a ND96 filter is .001 secs.
GPS 800 configured for Moon imaging as the primary scope for the ASI1600GT Pro camera. The 8" SCT weighs only 42 lbs. so it is very portable.
It's a f/10, but I use my old Meade f/6.3 focal reducer for a wider FOV.
