August 23, 2023 M16 and Asteroid

M16 (the Eagle Nebula/Pillars of Creation) is 7,000 light years away. It is located near the ecliptic plane (the path the sun and planets take across the sky) in constellation Serpens. Sometimes comets and asteroids can drift thru the sky area and the camera’s field of view. Imaged on Aug. 23, 2023, the final color image was 2.3 hrs. (300s subs x 27) with no filter. Stacked images can show short streaks. After animating 30 images, the object’s movement was noticed and visible against the nebula and stars which are much further away in the background. Don't know the name, but its movement was captured for about 2.5 hrs...
